Suicide is the leading cause of death in young Asian Americans.
Low rates of mental health treatment and high rates of depression and anxiety made worse by the COVID19 pandemic result in huge challenges addressing mental health issues in the Asian American community.
We're starting in Westchester County, New York, where the Asian American population is growing rapidly. According to the 2020 Census data, there has been a 32% growth in the last 10 years, compared with <6% in the entire county. Our goal is to provide this community the resources to address emotional wellbeing and mental health challenges.
